ne day at a gathering of musicians and singers, the great melodious and emotionally powerful King Music, listened to the symphonies and concertos played to his liking. It was the music demanded by the Kingdom from its gifted composers.
After a period of time the musical king went on a journey to discover the creativity that seemed to be leaving the composers and singers. On the appointed day of his return, King Music was not to be found.
“Who here among you artisans and gifted composer,” said the great ruler over all artistic entities, “will go and find the musical king and his discoveries.”
“I will,” said an unseen confident voice.
“Show yourself,” said the Great One.
“I am here,” the voice said.
“Why have you hidden yourself?”
“He has shown me what few have seen,” said the composer.
“Music comes from the heart, not the eye. Music comes from the unseen, not the seen. Music comes as a gift from nature and the hands of life, not man.”
“These are bold words you speak,” said the Great One. “What is your name?”
The unseen voice turned and spoke for all to see and hear. “My name,” he said with unique stature and confidence of voice, “is String Window.”
